Relationship Survival During Tough Time

Relationships may be a source of joy; however, tough times may spark intense misery between a couple. Tough times are the reality in every marriage or relationship. They test the connection and help to define the core of the relationship. Healthy relationships do not just happen by chance; having a flourishing relationship with your significant other involves a lot of work. So, during tough times, for instance, Illness, financial strain, or depression, what do you do? The answer is resilient. Couples who go through tough times come out of it stronger than before. Nevertheless, here are some secrets of relationship survival during tough times.

Work up your friendship
If you want a strong relationship that can sturdily survive hard times, you should work on your friendship foundation. During tough times, there may reach a point where you do not feel in love with your significant other. At this point, your friendship becomes a cushion for your issues, and you will endure through. Working on your friendship is simple. Just like any other relationship, spend time together, have deep conversations, and being able to stand strong for each other when need be. You will create a strong bond which cannot easily break besides what challenges.

Handle challenges as they arise
Many people do not like to handle issues as they arise; instead, they fear that the relationship may end before they give it a chance. Couples who do not work on small problems find it very hard when a significant issue arises and can easily break up. They do not feel the pain at the moment; instead, they pray it to fade away magically, which is not possible. Therefore, to survive hard times, learn to handle issues as they arise. This way, you will be able you handle major challenges together as a couple and walk through them together

Trust in God
The greatest secret in surviving relationship challenges is trusting in God. As a Christian, you should know that persecution does not just happen by accident. The Bible says in the book of 1 Peter 4:12, Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. God may sometime allow it to happen to test the believers. People doubt the goodness of the Lord during trials; therefore, you must understand how God allows some trials in the life of Christians to accomplish God's will. The Bible says in Isaiah 55:8: My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways. My ways. Via the Lord's Strength, you learn how to trust that He has a goodwill for you regardless of the situation. Moreover, as a couple, you can bond together by acts such as praying and reading the Bible together. Join your faith and pray towards something, and indeed you will walk through it as one.  Always remember that every life Struggles lead to Strength. Whether a small or big difficulty, God will use it to strengthen you, your faith, and even your perseverance.
